Resident Pastor

Yassah Morris Kaffey

Resident Pastor, Refuge International Ministries

I began my primary education from 1970 to 1976 at the St. Joseph Catholic School in Voinjama, Lofa County.I continue my schooling in 1977 with my secondary education when I enrolled at the Voinjama Multilateral High School and graduated in 1982 with a diploma in General Education.

In 1983 I attended the Arthur Barclay Technical College for two years and received an associate degree in Secretarial Science.

While going through these stages of life, I felt the call of God, which felt like an inner conviction that was given me by the Holy Spirit and confirmed by the word of God and the body of Christ. I became faithful and obedient to the ways of God in 1992, and was ordained as Missionary Evangelist by the Rt. Rev. Bishop Alfred G. Reeves and was appointed the youngest member of both Administrative and Spiritual Boards of the church.

In preparation for the highest calling, I decided to attend the Monrovia Bible Training Center, where I received a certificate in Christian Education. When I came to the United States, I attended the Anoka Technical College where I received an associate degree in Nursing. In 2002 I was ordained by Bishop Alfred G. Reeves as Deaconess for the church. Knowing very well that if you are called to ministry, you must prepare yourself, I was then persuaded to attend the Living Word Christian College in fulfillment of my calling and graduated in 2009 with Bachelor of Theology. I also attended and graduated from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Christian counseling. I will recognize and practice what God has called me to do.
